School Keepsake Box

Do you have a system for storing all of those precious papers that come home in your kiddos’ backpack? Check out my simple, yet tried and true, Keepsake Box organization below!

I like to use a clear, plastic, filing container that can hold legal size hanging file folders.

Using legal size file folders with labels will help hold all of the goodies-yet give you a limit of how many papers to save (we all know that can be difficult especially when they are little!)

  • Label each box with a picture and name for which child it is for.

  • Label each file folder from pre-K (or earlier) all the way through 12th grade.

  • You can add papers as the year goes on and weed through everything at the end of the year to make sure your school paper memories don’t take up your whole attic!

  • When your little one leaves the nest, they will have a perfect keepsake box to take with them.
